In what context to capture the second photo? The first photo is really beautiful.
Basically, whenever I see a cool looking object I try to take a picture of it. I think I had to pick the millipede up and place him/her on a piece of paper. I then had to get out my big manual flash and bounce it off the ceiling because I was using a 300 mm equivalent lens with a macro adapter that allowed me to focus from a distance of about 4 inches away. I had to close down my aperture to f22 otherwise the depth of field would have been less than a millimeter. Or is that too much context.
Next time I'll stick with thanks!

Thanks! I really should have gone back to get a little tripod... It's hard to be steady when shooting at 300mm equivalent and only 4 inches away from the end of the lens. :)
Yea, but the shakiness makes it look more natural and interesting.
