Giveaway Tuesdays! Features
News: Vibrant Color Photography Challenge: Yellow
Oooh. Since I already eliminated myself, I can just fill up the corkboard. Ok. I really won't do that. But I had to share this one. I think this is my favorite abstract light painting. This was taken in Las Vegas. I think this was using lights from one of the hotels in the Mandalay bay complex. 15 second exposure I think.
Insect Photography Challenge: Shots and Video
I don't think I should be eligible to win the prize since I'm an admin over at Math Craft, so I decided I might as well contribute a few random bug shots. Butterfly:

News: Thankful for the Beauty in a Summer Margarita
I'm most thankful for the simplest things in life...and how they can be so beautiful. Take this margarita I was sipping on a patio with my friends. Just a few friends, chatting...watching the people pass by on a busy street...the summer air so calm and relaxing....and the sip I'm about to take from this beautifully salted margarita. A relaxing moment in time. So simple, yet so precious to me.
Boo Box Challenge: Starvation Is an Ugly Sight
Continuing with my "Animals in Iraq" series, we have a poor little puppy who's succumbed to heat and starvation, but not in your ordinary way. Food is hard to come by for the stray dog population, but there's tons of trash around for them to dig through. This poor pup tried to lick the bottom of a can of corn (maybe it was peas or lentils) and got its head stuck. The area was abandoned, so no one was around to help.
